    1. I LOVED this series I myself, am an avid reader, so I read the books in the time span of about three months Before I found this book, I had been in this sort of, slump if you will, where I thought that all the books I was reading, all had the same type of plot, the same sort of sappy love story etc and I was growing especially tired of reading the same thing over and over again Then one day at the library, I found the first volume of this series, and thought, Hey why not, the synopsis looks pret [...]

    2. I adore this series It is really the reason I m a Christian today I was losing faith when I read this book and Christy spoke perfectly of my situation.

    4. My almost teenaged girl read this and loved it because she said it was very real and, although a Christian novel, didn t force the Christianity into the story, but did it in a very natural way I was intrigued and wanted to read it for myself The author does a really good job of developing the characters and capturing the turmoil and emotional insecurities of growing up While the protagonist is exposed to much than my daughter has ever been exposed to drugs, drinking, sex, and in later books, ea [...]

    5. 7. Great book Although i am not in my teenage years any and have been in the Lord for a few years, this book i believe allows young kids to connnecy and understand how the Lord moves and works There are real life examples that Christy first handedly experiences herself The author solves the issue and shows how God always pulls through A great read Teens young and old can definitely relate to thos book Great revelation

    8. The Christy Miller Series is a great read for teenage girls Rachael and I loved them back in junior high and high school It follows one girl s life of becoming a Christian as a teen, then her struggles and joys of the teenage years.

    9. Who would turn down a summer in sun kissed California with laidback Aunt Marti and Uncle Bob, while being spoiled to death Christy certainly did not think twice about leaving Wisconsin, or what would become of her faith and personal growth She simply thought nothing was going to change, after all it was just a vacation and she already knew what she believed in, God With the help of her God lover friends, she learns what it truly means to be a Christian and accepts Christ into her heart After her [...]

    10. I do my reviews in the form of a letter, which is why they are written like this.Dear Robin Jones Gunn,I am going to review each book separately, since this is a volume with three books.Summer Promise Well, what can I say I remember the first time I picked up this book I was twelve, and it was DEAR Friday I had nothing better to read, and I picked it up because the spine was pink and it looked interesting I read through some of it, and I thought it was okay I ended up getting really sick that we [...]

    11. I wasn t expecting too much from this book when I received it to review I had heard of this series before but had never read it It was great to have one book that had three individual books I got a three in one As I was reading the first book, Summer Promise I found Christy to be extremely relatable It focused on real life issues teenagers face from day to day I loved that about this book I know that many teenagers, including myself can relate to this book.As I read through this book, I think it [...]

    12. Christy Miller, by Robin Jones Gunn, is an incredible book, and definitly on my favorites list Christy, the main character, goes through many series of events, just as any other teenage girl does she has insecurties, secrets, and flaws just like all the other teenage girls out there To me, she seems like a real person Christy first starts out by being in California with her aunt and uncle for the summer Her aunt transforms her into a popular, stylish girl by taking her shopping and giard o readi [...]

    13. I absolutely adore this book series.I started reading them when a friend recommended them to me, and I fell head over heels in love with them. What I really like is that Christy is real and relatable She s whiny, jealous, and in a way self absorbed, but she s also compassionate, kind, and sweet She struggles with things that pretty much every teenager has problems with She struggles with her relationship with God, and makes us realize it s OK to go through that once in a while.Speaking of relatio [...]

    14. This is the best book i have read in a really long time It really taught me alot about life It taught me to open your heart up to God and let him in, and no matter the wrong you may do, He will always give you a second chance In these three books, they taught me alot Not only being an awesome romance book, it gave me a great decsription on what God can do for you, for example, He is always with you wherever you go, and though it may not feel like it, he knows you are talking to him and knows wha [...]

    15. writing reviews as procrastination, help I need to read these books again now that I m older As a tweenager, reading teen Christian fiction about romance just wasn t my cup of tea But I realise now I m older how valuable reading something like this is when you re the target audience age group From what I remember of it, Christy was like my bestie and the enticing summer beach and sunshine spoke to me as I read it through a gloomy and rainy English summer It was a sweet series that just helps you [...]

    22. 4 and half stars, I started this series when I was 11 or 12 I did not really like the first book to much,, but every problem I had with book is addressed in books two and three and that made me love them I really enjoyed this book, it is about teens being teens, there are REAL problems in them and bad things that are addressed I don t really think that most girls would be ready to read about some of the things that I was at 11 I would not recommend this to my cousin who is a big reader read this [...]
